John is a retired Vice-President of a national mail order company.
He was born in Texakana, Arkansas. He lived most of his adult life
in Wisconsin and Massachusetts before moving to Atlanta, Georgia
in 1980. When he married Ann, he became her partner in Ann Platz
& Co. He handles the business end of the company.
He has one son, John Platz, 50 who lives in Delafield, Wisconsin.
John Jr. is a chemical engineer and is married to Julie Platz, the
owner of Rickity Robin Antiques Shop. They have two sons: Jonathan,
25 who is an architect with Heerey International in Atlanta and
Jeremy, 20 who is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin.
